SUTTON WOODS FORAY & AGM

The meeting point is roadside parking at a T-junction ½ mile along the track in to the woods. Lunch will be provided at about 12:30 at the Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Community Centre in Ironbridge, which has its own parking, where the AGM will then commence around 13:00.

The most exciting thing about the AGM (Annual Group Meeting) is that it provides the opportunity to take part in the planning of the 2026 foray programme so please come along with suggestions for places to foray. Even more exciting is the election of the SFG officers.

Heading south on the A442 Telford to Bridgnorth road, leave Telford by the roundabout at Halesfield. After 1 km turn right towards Coalport/Broseley. just before the Sutton Hill roundabout. After 1.5km where the road turns sharp right, turn left along a narrow lane past a cottage and after 1.5 km at a T-junction park on the verge.

 

From the south on the A442 take the first left turn after the Sutton Maddock roundabout and proceed for 1.5km to turn left at a sharp right bend. After 1.5 km at a T-junction park on the verge.

 

From Coalport follow the road south-east beside the River Severn, past the bridge, and after 0.5 km at a sharp left bend take the right turn along a narrow lane. TAKE CARE WHEN MAKING THE TURN DUE TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. After 1.5 km at a T-junction park on the verge.

Beginners are welcome at all forays.
