Comer Woods are on the east side of the A442 Bridgnorth-Kidderminster Road, just south of Quatford and north of the National Trust’s Dudmaston Hall.

Coming from the north, leave Bridgnorth. Enter Quatford and pass the prominent Food Stop Cafe on the left, usually well-patronised by bikers. About 200 metres further on where the road curves slightly left, look for a left turn along a lane marked 'National Trust Comer Woods’. Follow this lane for a short distance to the car park on the right.

Coming from the south, pass the main entrance to National Trust Dudmaston Hall on the left, just after Quatt. Pass between two lakes and though a sandstone cutting. When the road straightens and goes gently downhill, look for a right turn signposted 'National Trust Comer Woods’. Follow this lane for a short distance to the car park on the right.

Do not rely on the postcode to guide you to the exact meeting point for a foray. Postcodes in rural areas often cover a large area. The OS grid reference is more precise and unchanging. What3Words is also more precise, and the detailed instructions should also help to pinpoint the location.

Beginners are welcome at all forays.

2022 Foray Report

Please read the Foray Risk Assessment before attending. It is advisable to confirm with the leader that the foray is taking place, as on extremely rare occasions forays have had to be changed at short notice. Please email the Secretary for more details.
